It is possible I will get my French followers angry as I did modify their beloved (and delicious, but not keto) recipe.

I did not change it much, I just did skip the flour (and honestly for me I prefer it this way), and to reduce the carb content, I also skipped the shallots.

All I can say that even my son, not a fan of mussels, loved it.

Just try it, it is soooo good

Here comes one of my easy breezy recipes, that will make you look like a master chef. For the lovers of seafood this is a delight. For the haters or alergics not so much, sorry.

  • Cook Time:10 mins

Nutrition per portion

Ingredients
  • 500g mussels
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 150ml heavy cream or cream
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • salt, black/white pepper and chili flakes to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
Method
  • Clean/thaw and clean the mussels
  • Chop the garlic
  • In a large pan, add the olive oil, garlic and seasoning and let it fry for a minute (do not let the garlic turn brown)
  • The wine, cream and butter and simmer for 2 minutes
  • Adjust seasoning
  • Add the mussels and cook for 5 minutes
  • Sprinkle the parsley on top and mix

Dig in and be happy
