Everyday meals series – The crispy skin salmon

This recipe is the first of my new series: The Everyday meals.

This idea came from the requests of the members of the Facebook group I help admin, when my dumb person asked if they wanted to have the recipes of my basic meals.

Bad move woman!!! Now I have to take extra care when taking photographs of my meals, to meet my standards for my site. But it is worth it, as seeing people make my recipes gives me tremendous joy.

So, here it goes, the perrrrfect crispy skin salmon with creamed spinach, enjoy

  • Freezable:No

Nutrition per portion

  • 2 salmon fillets (200g)
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 100g baby spinach
  • salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste
  • 150ml heavy cream or cream
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil/butter/coconut oil
  • Sprouts to garnish
For the Creamed Spinach
  • Add the olive oil to a frying pan with the garlic and fry the garlic until translucent
  • Add the chopped spinach and seasoning and mix until wilted
  • Add the cream and mix well (do not boil it), stirring until you get the desired thickness
For the salmon
  • Heat the frying pan on high heat until really hot
  • Put the salmon, skin side down, season the upper part with salt and pepper, and cook it for 4 minutes or until the fish is cooked up to the middle
  • Turn the fish, fry for 2 to 3 more minutes (I like mine medium rare) until it gets a nice golden color
Serve it with the skin side up (it will be really crispy), over the creamed spinach, and add the sprouts as a beautiful final touch

This often is my Wednesday dinner because my non-keto Household has fries then and they don’t like fish. I love the salmon this way !
