Decadent LCHF Brownies

Ingredients

FOR THE BROWNIES

  • 1/4 cup raw cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
  • Xylitol to taste
  • 1 1/4 cups (80 percent cacao) chocolate pieces
  • 4 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

FOR THE GANACHE

  • 3/4 cup 70% chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

Brownies:

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Spray a brownie square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray; line pan with parchment paper. Spray parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the raw cacao, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
    In a large heatproof bowl, combine butter, xylitol, and chocolate. Place bowl over simmering water. Heat, stirring until butter and chocolate are melted and mixture is smooth.
  • Remove bowl from heat and whisk in eggs, water, and vanilla extract. Whisk in the cocoa mix. Pour batter into the baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and edges and center are set, 40 min app. Put the pan on a cooling rack and let brownies cool completely inside the pan.

Ganache:

Place the chocolates in a heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan, combine cream and salt; bring to a boil. Pour cream mixture over the chocolate and let it rest until chocolate is melted, about 5 minutes. Whisk till smooth; stir in vanilla extract. Spread over the cooled brownies with a spatula. Put in the fridge until set.

Ingredientes

PARA AS BROWNIES

  • 1/4 xícara de cacau cru puro sem açucar
  • 1/4 colher de chá de bicarbonato de sódio
  • 1/4 colher de chá de sal marinho grosseiro
  • 1 xícara de manteiga sem sal, cortada em cubos pequenos
  • Xilitol a gosto
  • 1 1/4 xícaras de pedaços de chocolate (usei 80% de cacau)
  • 4 ovos grandes à temperatura ambiente
  • 1/2 xícara de água fria
  • 1 colher (chá) de extrato de baunilha puro (opcional)

PARA A GANACHE

  • 3/4 xícara de chocolate 70%
  • 1/2 xícara de nata
  • 1/4 colher de chá de extrato de baunilha puro

Directions

Brownies:

  • Pré-aqueça o forno a 180 graus. Pulverize uma assadeira quadrada com spray antiaderente;
  • Coloque papel cerauntado com manteiga ou óleo de coco
  • Em uma tigela média, misture o cacau, bicarbonato de sódio e sal; reserve
  • Em uma tigela grande à prova de calor, misture manteiga, xilitol e chocolate. Coloque a tigela sobre a água fervenye e mexa até que a manteiga e o chocolate estejam derretidos e a mistura homogénea
  • Retire a tigela do fogo e misture os ovos, água e extrato de baunilha, à mistura de cacau.
  • Despeje a massa na assadeira. Asse até que um palito inserido no centro saia limpo, 40 min mais ou menos
  • Coloque a panela numa grelha de resfriamento e deixe as brownies esfriar completamente dentro da forma.

Ganache:

Coloque o chocolate em uma tigela que aguente calor. Em uma pequena panela, misture a nata e sal; leve para ferver. Despeje a mistura sobre o chocolate e deixe descansar até que o chocolate esteja derretido, cerca de 5 minutos. Bata até ficar homogêneo; Junte o extrato de baunilha. Espalhe a ganache sobre os brownies com uma espátula. Coloque na geladeira até ficar no ponto

    Definately gonna make these…do you also have the amounts in gramms? If not ill look up a conversion table…thanks so much for your recipes and im loving the blog xx

      Hi Adele! Thank you so much! I use those measuring cups and spoons that you buy at any good supermarket or even online. I do not have it in grams but there are conversion charts available online. Just google convert cups to grams
